There’s a lot that goes in to prepping for a shoot. There’s cleaning the studio, prepping my camera gear, checking the weather (for lighting purposes), making sure the lovely lady coming over has all the details on where to go, what to bring, and how to prepare. But most importantly, from a creative perspective, there’s the prep I do for inspiration.
As I’m prepping for a shoot this afternoon, I’m using all my usual tricks to get inspiration ready before my model arrives. Today I went to my favorite place to look for inspiration – my own previous work. Does that sound boastful? Maybe. Sorry – not sorry – because each and every image I’ve put out there is special to me and inspires me. Each empowers me to do what I love and continue to work hard to help women feel beautiful, empowered, and sexy.
In my “inspo” scroll today, I came across some work from earlier this year that I absolutely loved --- and then it hit me – I never shared the full session with you!
So of course, I’m dropping everything and doing that RIGHT NOW!
Below is my session with Yana. Yana is a model with Miles Agency in Atlanta. She’s young, beautiful, intelligent and motivated. She’s a total doll and one of the most genuinely kind human beings I’ve met.
As a professional model, Yana needed and wanted very little direction during her shoot. She knows her body, her expressions, and her angles. She had great ideas for outfits – even some less traditional outfits for boudoir – and worked with me to blend her style with my own. We made a great team and I really love what we came up with.
Check out her session below – from the much-missed colder months of the year – and let me know your thoughts.
