Do you ever have one of those days where things just go so smoothly, it’s like life isn’t real? Ok, Ok, probably not, or at least not that often. But I’m talking about those little moments where everything just clicks, and you know everything is going to be alright. My husband and I love to joke about how “life’s not real” when the strangest coincidences occur that we like to pretend are glitches in the matrix.
As a photographer, it’s not often I can say I feel my shoots are going so smoothly that life must not be real. In fact, it isn’t usually until I get the images in to Lightroom that I realize how awesome I did. Shooting is difficult, stressful even, while also being a fun kind of challenging. I liken it to that urge of adrenaline and nerves you feel before the start line of a race, or the sheer panic yet simultaneous pride you feel before giving a public speech. It’s both terrifying and calming at the same time.
My work is full of questioning, self-doubt, and worry over my model’s reaction towards her photographs. Will she like them? Will she see herself the way I saw her? Will she appreciate the art? Most importantly, will her images help her see how amazing and beautiful she is?
My session with Sela was not a typical day. There was no worry, no doubt, no wondering. It was pure magic. If it was a glitch, it was one that I needed.
Sela is the kind of girl you always want around. She’s beautiful. She’s smart. She’s entertaining, confident, and completely open to saying whatever is on her mind. She’s a perfect mix of being able to embrace her sexuality and being able to laugh at herself.
We had so much fun during her session. She was up for all of my suggestions and came with great ideas as well.
I could not be happier with the final images we got from this session. This session embodies how I want to create and how I want my models to feel after their shoots. Sela loved her photos, I loved them, and I’ve been on a roll ever since!!
Are you ready to feel THIS amazing!? Are you ready to see how SEXY you are?? I can help, let’s do this!
